01. How do I place a booking?

02. What kind of events do you cater for?
We cater for a wide variety of events, including both corporate and private functions. Corporate events include company celebrations & anniversaries, charity balls, staff celebrations, product launches, seminars and training days etc. Private functions can include birthdays, wedding parties, funerals and christenings etc.
03. Does Ted & Carl Catering charge for delivery?
We charge a nominal fee for delivery.
04. Can you provide meals for children?
You can rest assured that the children will be well catered for with child friendly food and service. Please inform us of child numbers in advance.
05. What are the minimum or maximum numbers you cater for?
No event is too large or too small. We have a number of service teams and these resources are utilised as required for the larger functions. We cater for large corporate events and also for intimate dinner parties at home. Minimum order for menus that require a chef or waiting staff i.e. canapés, bowl food, hot buffet or dinner is 25 people.

Yes, we can provide a full range of tableware, glassware and cutlery.

08. When are my final numbers due?
Final numbers for the catering is required one week prior to the event, any amendments after this may not be guaranteed.
09. I have people with special diets, can they be catered for?
Yes, as long as the information is given with plenty of notice as we can accommodate most dietary needs.
10. If my numbers drop on the day can I get a refund on the catering not required?
No, all catering will be charged as final numbers which are confirmed 1 week prior to your event.
11. When do I pay?
Corporate accounts where credit facilities exist, strictly 14 days net from date of invoice (unless otherwise agreed).

All other reservations, 75% with booking, balance 7 days after the event. For events with reservations longer than 12 months, a $250 non refundable deposit with booking, 75% (less deposit) due 30 days prior to the event, balance due 7 days after the the event.

12. How early do I have to book?
Just as for holidays, we tend to be busier during the summer months therefore booking as early as possible for a summer event is advised. Occasionally we are able to fit events in with as little as 1-2 weeks notice.
13. How far in advance must the exact menu/service and numbers be confirmed?
We need an approximate number when the booking is placed, with final numbers and menus confirmed 1 week before your event.
14. What happens if I cancel my booking?
If the cancellation is made with less than 30 days notice, the booking fee and 50% of the event will be charged. If the cancellation is made prior to 30 days, then the booking fee and 20% charged and of any other deposits shall be refunded to customer.
15. Am I allowed to provide my own drinks?
Yes, you are welcome to provide all or part of your drinks and we will gladly serve them for you.
16. Does Ted & Carl Catering staff wear uniforms?
Yes, all our staff wear black and white uniforms. We also dress for themed events.
